Before open MRI’s, before hip replacements and before arthroscopic surgery, in 1972, Midwest Orthopaedic Institute brought the first Orthopaedic physicians to DeKalb County. Right from the start we recruited the brightest and the best physicians with expertise in subspecialty areas such as foot and ankle, shoulder, hand and spine. Recently we brought in the area's first full time rheumatologist to help serve our community’s arthritic and elderly population. Midwest Orthopaedic Institute is now a regional referral center for the finest orthopaedic care.
